Alternatives To Teeth Whitening, If You Like Them Better

Dentistry has gone from the old fill the cavities, cap the teeth and dig the root canals to a much more cosmetic aspect. Maybe its down to get down with the program. Even regular guys are getting more interested after watching tens of episodes of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and all that funny stuff. The idea is to get that winning smile, whether through teeth whitening, braces, veneers, etc..

pictures of white teeth crowns are a lot pretty than all those mercury-amalgam fillings you have in your mouth for years. They can match your other teeth. You may want to get your teeth whitening treatment first, because once all your natural teeth have been bleached, the crowns are going to be darker and stand out a bit.

Veneers cost up to $2,000 a tooth. The dentist grounds down the tooth and adds a custom porcelain shell. You can have just the front teeth changed. The bad news is these usually have to be changed every 10 years or so. Bonding is a similar process, but done with resins. It cant reshape your teeth, but it can whiten them.

You can go through teeth whitening. Often the dentist will custom make you trays and you can wear them a couple of hours a day. The dentists use pictures of white teeth that you cant get in stores. Or there is the new Zoom!Process or Brite Smile. These procedures are done one time in your dentists office using peroxide compounds and light or lasers. They get your teeth really white fast, and cost quite a bit.

If you think this is a little too extreme to get that immediate white smile, look it the other way. For Hollywood movie stars to get perfectly white teeth, they have to either get all their teeth capped or/and at least the front teeth covered with porcelain veneer.

You could try various of these whitening strips, and also the whitening tooth pastes, and whitening mouth washes. Or you could even try an electric toothbrush. Thats important and it can make a real difference. Before you pay $200 or even $1000 for professional dental treatments, see if you can get your teeth a little bit white and if it makes a big difference to you. There are also the various hydrogen peroxide products to do it your self soak your teeth. I guess hydrogen peroxide is not poisonous, otherwise a lot of these people would be out of luck.
